Before anything else, the Mavericks (Dallas "Mavs" Mavericks of the NBA) should stay out of the 1st and 2nd seed because nothing good happened to them, especially the fact that they are 'destined' to be ousted in 6 games when they are the 1st or 2nd seed. Ever since the best-of-7 series was implemeneted, the Mavs have failed to make a successful run for a championship, including this year (2010). However, when they are not the 1st or 2nd seed, they are able to enter the Second Round (or even the Finals). But, they are still ousted in 6 games (or less).
